Everything You Need to Know ABOUT Sadie and Sunny Sandler.
Adam Sandler’s daughters step back into sight with “Happy Gilmore 2,” which hit Netflix Friday, July 25. They’ve popped up in his films before, but this time, they’re sharing the screen with the man who taught them the ropes.
Adam Sandler, 58, slips back into the plaid pants he first wore 29 years ago, once again swinging for the galleries in the sequel to the 1996 classic.
Sadie,19, appears as Charlotte, a teenager who crosses paths with her dad on the green. Sunny, 16, takes on a bigger part this trip around, playing Vienna, Happy’s now-grown daughter who inherits his fierce drive and a few of his quirks.
The two made their Netflix debut earlier this year in “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” a coming-of-age comedy the sisters also co-star in.
(Here’s what to know about Sadie and Sunny as they follow in their comedian dad’s footsteps.)

Sadie and Sunny Sandler’s viral moments.
Sadie and Sunny Sandler, the daughters of Adam and Jackie Sandler, have been making small-screen and big-screen appearances since they were little. Jackie, a model and actress married to Adam for over 20 years, pops up in Happy Gilmore 2, too.
Sadie, the oldest, arrived May 6, 2006, and Sunny followed on November 2, 2008. The sisters often steal the spotlight online. In 2022, a TikTok clip from Sunny’s bat mitzvah wowed fans, showing a glittery bash with Charlie Puth, Halsey and a guest list that could fill an awards show.
Months down the road, when their dad picked up the Gotham Awards’ Film Tribute honor in 2022, the girls—16 and 14 then—turned to Sandler with a cheeky request: could they write the speech he hadn’t put together?
“I said, ‘sure, go for it,’” Sandler quipped during the ceremony. “And then I thought: let’s give it a whirl. Would be great to see them do anything besides binge-watch YouTube or haunt the (expletive) Lululemon every (expletive) Saturday.”
Adam Sandler on his daughters’ interest in acting.
While promoting the long-rumored “Happy Gilmore 2,” Sandler said how seeing his family step into the same orbit he long loved brings a lopsided grin.
“The kids just keep growing—faster than I thought. They’re into acting when they could be into anything, and we’ve always wanted our circle around the table.
So, watching them grind, then hit the classroom, then bounce back for a scene—it’s unreal. I just feel proud every day. Couldn’t love them more.”
What is ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ about?
Co-written by Sandler, it flips the script on Happy: a heartbreaking accident years earlier means the famous putter now swats a different table than the fairway.
When the bill for Vienna’s tuition at a top Paris ballet school lands at $300,000, Happy returns to the fairways for the first time since the last time the clubs collected a little dust. On the third hole, he bumps into Shooter McGavin, the gilded foe he almost forgot existed.
Shooter has a plaid jacket, gray at the temples, and a rumor he’s training for the Champions Tour. Happy tries to keep it light, but the money hangs like dew on a 6-iron.
On his way to the 16th green, he learns that the wild-haired CEO of a hyper-caffeinated empire, played by Benny Safdie with mischief in his voice, wants to turn the game into skateboards-over-sand-traps and neon smoke.
The kid shapes the name of the beverage in fluorescent script across the championship banner. Happy’s deal just got liftoff and a headwind.
