“Today is #WorldBreastCancerResearchDay. My breast cancer and my mother’s both hit hard and raced fast. Because researchers got funded, we both found a way to stay alive. Right now, I’m on an endocrine therapy plan—one the FDA first approved in the late 1970s. New drugs arrived in later years, and NIH data shows how far we’ve come.”
Munn ended her post on a hopeful note by urging everyone to give what they can to charity—even if it’s a small amount. She named some favorite organizations to support, then turned her words to anyone facing or finishing cancer treatment. “To everyone battling cancer right now, or who has walked that path, I’m right here with you, wishing you luck and strength at every turn. 🤍”
