Tom Holland Takes a Short Break After Concussion on Spider-Man Set.
Tom Holland is stepping back for a few days from Spider-Man: Brand New Day after a mild concussion last week. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter he got hurt during a stunt on Friday, September 19. The latest update is that he’ll pause filming so doctors can make sure he heals properly.
According to the Daily Mail, Holland fell while shooting at Leavesden Studios, which is about 20 miles from London. Following that, he went to the hospital for a check. His dad, Dominic Holland, later spoke at a charity dinner on September 21, confirming to reporters that Tom will be “out for a while.”

The actor last appeared in public on Saturday, September 20, when he and fiancée Zendaya co-hosted a charity quiz at The Brothers Trust gala, the charity he founded with his siblings.
The charity soirée—set in the polished elegance of Christie’s auction house in London—shone the spotlight on Java Joy, an organization dedicated to creating meaningful jobs for adults living with disabilities. The glittering crowd came together to show support and raise funds for a mission that truly matters.
In April, during CinemaCon 2025, Sony Pictures revealed the next Spider-Man picture would carry the title Brand New Day. That announcement followed close on the heels of Tom Holland’s hint that the fourth Spider-Man flick would roll cameras in 2025.

Photos began to surface in early August of Holland and co-star Zendaya on the London set, their on-screen chemistry still sparkling. Holland dropped a small teaser himself on August 10, posting a short clip from his first shooting day in scenic Scotland on his Instagram.
Since that first glimpse, Holland has been caught swinging around various U.K. locations, continuing to don the red-and-blue suit. The young star has been Spider-Man/Peter Parker within the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the 2016 blockbuster Captain America: Civil War. More recently, he’s hinted that his creative fingerprints will be even more visible in the next webslinger adventure.

Zendaya will be back as Michelle “MJ” Jones in Brand New Day, and she’ll be joined by her fellow teammates, Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau. The film will also feature Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, plus MCU fan-favorite Mark Ruffalo. Michael Mando and Jon Bernthal are also on the growing cast list, according to THR.
Sony Pictures has confirmed that the movie is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.
