Gorillaz New Album The Mountain: Release Date & Tracklist
Gorillaz are back with a big reveal! Their brand-new album, The Mountain, is set to land on March 20, 2026, along with a European tour to celebrate the launch. This will be the band’s ninth album and the first to come out on their own label, KONG.
The first single, The Happy Dictator, featuring the legendary Sparks, is already out, and the full lineup looks even wilder. Expect special guest spots from Black Thought, Yasiin Bey, Johnny Marr, Anoushka Shankar, Dennis Hopper, and Bizarrap, among others.

The record was brought to life at Studio 13 in London and Devon, with additional sessions on the streets of India, and then spots in Los Angeles, Ashgabat, Damascus, New York, and Miami. Produced by Damon Albarn, Jamie Hewlett, James Ford, Samuel Egglenton, Remi Kabaka Jr., and Bizarrap, the album promises a dazzling language mix: Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish, and Yoruba.
The artwork shows 2D, Murdoc, Russel, and Noodle hard at work in India on a massive mural. You’ll be able to grab the art as a glossy coffee-table book and a set of 12×12 prints.
Gorillaz just dropped the scoop on “The Mountain Tour,” set to light up stages with the first show in Manchester on March 21. After hitting Glasgow, Cardiff, and Dublin, the band will wrap up the run with an epic solo gig at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.
According to the band, “circumstances” have the guys—Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, 2D, and Noodle—chillin’ in India. They flew to Mumbai thanks to four fake passports lent by a NYC business buddy of Murdoc’s. Swearing off the whole international superstar deal, the crew is now lost in the rhythms of some “mystical” music-making while wandering the twists of this “mountain” called life.
