Kourtney Kardashian is a busy mom of four, but there’s always room to learn more about parenting.
Kardashian, mom to sons Mason and Reign Disick, daughter Penelope Disick, and baby Rocky Barker, faced backlash after posting a boating photo on Instagram on August 8. Rocky, age 1, is her youngest with Travis Barker, the drummer from Blink-182.
In the picture, Kardashian holds Rocky in her lap as the boat glides across the water. He is dressed in a black sweater, and the caption reads, “Food for the soul ✨.”
Some followers quickly commented on the boat safety issue. “Shouldn’t that kid be wearing a life jacket?” asked @the_real_jjcooll. “Protects her son’s face from the internet but doesn’t protect him from possibly drowning… priorities,” @lifeofrylee84 chimed in. Another user, @danielle_mamma_of_two, added, “No life jacket??? And the Mother of the Year award goes to……”

Kourtney Kardashian reacted to parents who noticed a life vest mismatch on her kid during a recent boat trip. She posted on Instagram Stories August 9, explaining she quickly bought one for Rocky that fits.
“Good looking out,” she said in a now-expired story, per People and Fox News. “Honestly didn’t think about some of the dangers. Thank you for making me aware, and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest.”
Kourtney and Travis Barker welcomed Rocky, their first baby together, in November 2023 after marrying in 2022.
