Matthew Perry Overdose: Jasveen Sangha a.k.a ‘Ketamine Queen’ Set to Plead Guilty

How Matthew Perry Died: Autopsy Reveals Jasveen Sangha Toxicity.

Jasveen Sangha, 42, will admit to five charges in a Los Angeles federal court, including one count of distributing ketamine that led to death or bodily injury, the Justice Department said. She was originally indicted on nine counts.

According to Los Angeles Times , Prosecutors called her Los Angeles residence a “drug-selling emporium” and uncovered dozens of ketamine vials in a search of the home. Perry was discovered dead in a backyard jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home in October 2023.

An autopsy showed his death resulted from the drug’s immediate effects. Jasveen Sangha is one of five defendants—among them licensed doctors and Perry’s assistant—whom federal agents accuse of profiting from Perry’s drug dependence and of supplying him ketamine in the chain leading to his fatal overdose.

The others are Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez, doctors charged with dispensing the drug; Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in assistant, who helped obtain and administer the ketamine doses; and Eric Fleming, who traded doses he received from Sangha to Perry.

All five defendants in the case will plead guilty. Jasveen Sangha’s trial had been postponed several times; it is now set to start next month reported by Variety.

She is due to show up in federal court soon to enter the guilty plea that is part of the deal with the government. The Justice Department says Sangha could face up to 60 years in federal prison.

According to the DEA, ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic that can cause hallucinations. It can alter a person’s sense of sight and sound and make them feel out of their own body and unable to control their movements.

The drug is given by injection to people and animals to dull pain and make them feel disconnected from their surroundings. Investigators stress that ketamine should only be given by doctors, and anyone receiving it needs to be watched by a professional because it can be dangerous.

Federal agents say Jasveen Sangha began delivering ketamine from a “stash house” in North Hollywood in 2019. The indictment claims she catered to celebrities and upscale clients.

Federal agents say they seized over 80 vials of ketamine at a house they call the “Sangha Stash House.” In the same raid, they reported finding thousands of pills, including meth, cocaine, and Xanax.

The indictment claims that the 36-year-old operated the house as a lab to bottle, bag, and ship drugs to clients.

Friends tell tabloids that she moved easily among stars, bragging about hitting both the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Her Instagram feed showed nonstop luxury, from neon dance floors to quiet dinners in Tokyo and beach clubs in Tulum.
