There is no such thing as too much Taylor Swift vinyl. On Wednesday, September 24, the Grammy winner took to social media to announce a new The Crowd Is Your King edition of the show for her forthcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, which is set to be released on colored vinyl and will be available at Target stores.
Swift shared the new album cover for the particular edition via Instagram. In the caption, the singer shared, “A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale…”
In a separate Instagram post, the singer of “Karma,” added, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King Edition on Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl is available for exclusive pre-order at Target, while supplies last.”

A Target announcement notes that the new iteration has a price of $34.99 and it comes along a four-foot tall by three-foot wide translucent poster of Swift which is double sided. Target also mentioned it has a ‘collectible custom gatefold jacket’ and a double sided foldout that has other universe album sleeves which contain ‘never before seen’ photos and album lyrics plus other photos with a poem by Swift along with album lyrics and foldout panels ‘collectible album sleeves’.

Each comes with a translucent pink and pale yellow pearlescent vinyl with gold shimmer and other universe, which is a vinyl album, in the described jacket. The Life of a Showgirl is coming out on Friday, October 3rd. There is also a special announcement that Target will open 500 locations by midnight on the day of the album release.
As Swift’s website notes, that is the only place which has exclusive access shown in special instructions on the website. Before the Crowd Is Your King edition, she indicated there would be several vinyl variants, including Shiny Bug, Tiny Bubbles in Champagne, and Baby, That’s Show Business.
Swift has also indicated that there is a special announcement with the album release of ‘The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’ which will be in theaters. Posting on Instagram, she said, ‘I personally wish to formally welcome you to a sparkly party, The Official Release of a Showgirl on October 3 through 5, only in theaters for this special event.
Swift went on to say, “My single, ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ will be accompanied by its very own music video, which I’m proud to present to you all today. In addition to the music video, you all will be granted access to the buried behind the scenes footage of the music video accompanied by additional footage of the video being made! There will be enthralling explanations on the essence of the music, as well as the captivating lyric videos from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl ❤️🔥”

According to Swift, the official designated time of the event is different and the tickets are very scarce and can be purchased on the website releasepartyofashowgirl.com.
The event will normally take place from the 3rd of October to the 5th of October and will be available in over 540 AMC cinemas. Other cinema chains, namely Cinemark and Regal will also offer the event to their customers in the Northern America region. The event is available to all AM Cinema locations in Northern America.
The event will be held on the 3rd of October, and will start at different times in all zones on that day. America Eastern Time and Pacific are at 3 PM and 12 PM respectively.
