Wedding bells are ringing louder on Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, but the vibe is all kinds of off. Episode 4 revealed a gulf between Belly (Lola Tung) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno): while he’s diving into a new internship—thanks, Dad—she’s pulling late shifts at the Belly of the Beach Diner to keep the dream afloat. Both teenagers are still stuck selling the “it’s seriously happening” wedding story to family and friends.
In a late-game pep rally, Jeremiah recruits Steven to be his “co-best man” alongside the ever-silent Conrad. If Steven’s on board, maybe the rest of us should be, too.
Belly, meanwhile, drags Taylor and Lucinda to a birthday dress appointment that would have been a family affair—if her mom, Laurel, hadn’t put on the brakes. She finds the dress but leaves the boutique feeling more hollow than happy.
Later, Jeremiah shows up at Belly’s with a birthday cake, flowers for Laurel that smell like guilt, and a key to the Cousins’ Beach House. He promises it’ll be hers in exactly six weeks—if the wedding survives that long.
Laurel’s still side-eyeing the timeline, and before Belly can finish the “are we there yet” speech, she’s already racing off to Cousins. The twist? Conrad’s there, already packing his own questions.

After Conrad lost his clinic job, he’s spent the last few weeks at the beach house. He still doesn’t support Belly and Jeremiah’s wedding, but when he hears Belly crying, he chooses to stick around and support her, even though he’s got a new job lined up in California.
Taylor decides to quit her internship to help her mom for the summer too.
