Rebecca Zamolo Welcomes Second Baby with Husband Matt Slays.
Rebecca Zamolo family just grew by one the influencer behind the daily doses of fun and creativity on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube just announced the arrival of her second child with husband Matt Slays. Their baby boy, Zander, made his debut on Monday, August 11, via surrogacy, and he now completes the family and joins big sister Zadie, who just turned three.
“Every surrogacy journey is different, but ours felt right from the start. When the moment came, we all felt the same way about having my husband and me in the delivery room.According to Yahoo, After we saw Zander, we were comfortable with her holding him for the first minutes,” Rebecca says.
Matt continues, “We just wanted him welcomed into a room full of love. The surrogate and her husband, Rebecca Zamolo and I, were all focused on one goal: a healthy, happy baby.” The new parents, who turned 40 and 45 respectively in the past year, are now navigating the all-important transition to being a family of four. So far, they report feeling the ups and downs of double baby life but are embracing every moment.
“It hasn’t been easy, but we manage by tag-teaming everything. We split the work so both kids get love and undivided time with us,” Zamolo explains. “Tonight I do Zander’s bedtime and Matt does Zadie’s story, then we swap and do it all over again. The rhythm helps us make sure neither one feels second in line.”
Zadie, the toddler version of the family’s preceding center of attention, is sinking into her role as the chief big sister.
“Watching her claim the title has been so heart-melting. Zadie took a couple of days to figure it out, but now she jumps at the chance to hand Zander a toy or sing to him,” the couple point out.
Early this past February, Zamolo opened up about the family’s expanding circle by announcing Zander’s impending arrival via a surrogate. “Surrogacy has given us the gift of a second baby; we’re leaning into it with gratitude,” she and Matt shared with us. Folks in the family also attached some charming shots to the announcement. The couple linked a postcard scene of Zadie lifting a pair of sonogram stills against her father’s chest while mouthing wide smiles.
Zadie perched on the low stool in the living-room corner, the soft afternoon light spilling over her little legs. Atop her neatly folded pink lap sat the folded issue of The Baby News, the headlines spilling bright color across the thin page. One, glittering in glittery stars, announced “Promoted to Big Sister!” while next to it, in a swoop of chalky pastel, read “Our Family Is Growing!” The corner of her mouth tugged up into the gentlest of smiles, as though she, too, knew her secret.
