Brooks, who’s been linked to Liam since 2019, lit up Instagram this past Friday with adorable photos.

On September 12, Brooks, 29, made the big announcement by posting a sweet Instagram carousel featuring her gorgeous engagement ring.
The first slide is a classic black-and-white shot showing Brooks smiling with her arm around Liam, the glittering ring front and center. The next photo captures a peaceful ocean sunset, and the final one zooms in on the ring resting on a crisp white sheet. She kept the caption simple with just a white heart emoji.
Fans remember that Brooks sparked engagement talk a month earlier when she wore a noticeable sparkler on the same finger while walking the docks in Ibiza. Several shots from that day caught her beaming and showing off the sizeable diamond to bystanders.
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks, both proud Aussies, were first seen together back in December 2019. They toasted brunch with Liam’s mum and dad, Craig and Leonie, in their favorite beach town, Byron Bay.
In June 2021, the couple finally went “Instagram official.” Liam uploaded a fun snap showing himself, Gabriella, his brother Chris, and Chris’s wife Elsa Pataky, plus Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana Barroso, all smiling at the Gold Dinner 2021 in Sydney.

Before that post, Gabriella’s pal Michele Merkin shared a slideshow on Instagram. One of the photos included Liam photobombing Gabriella while they were with a big group of friends, all celebrating her birthday.
Gabriella later shared a shirtless pic of Liam on her Instagram Story to mark his 32nd birthday in January 2022. They then hit the red carpet together in Sydney that December for the premiere of Liam’s movie Poker Face.
A source told PEOPLE back in January 2020 that Liam and Gabriella spent a ton of time in Australia and that they were getting “serious.”
This wedding will be Hemsworth’s second. He married Miley Cyrus in December 2018, but they finalized their divorce a little over a year later, in February 2020.
